Introduction to ArcGIS I (ArcView
8, ArcEditor 8, and ArcInfo 8)

Through this two-day course the student will learn basic
GIS concepts and gain the technical skills to create, edit,
and georeference spatial data. Participants become successful
ArcView, ArcEditor, or ArcInfo users. Attendees also learn
how to manipulate tabular data, query a GIS database, and
present data clearly and efficiently using maps and charts.
The course incorporates a combination of lectures, hands-on
exercises, and discussion.
This course is geared for those who are new to ArcGIS or
to geographic information systems in general.

Migrating from ArcView GIS 3.x
to ArcView 8

This new two-day course introduces ArcView GIS 3.x users
to the features and architecture of ArcView 8. Students
gain a basic understanding of ArcView 8 and its new core
applications-ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcToolbox. Participants
learn how ArcView GIS 3.x terminology and features relate
to the new terminology and features of ArcView 8. They also
learn how to create, edit, and georeference spatial data,
as well as manipulate tabular data, query a GIS database,
perform spatial analysis, and present data clearly and efficiently
using maps and graphs.

Introduction to ArcView GIS (3.x)
This two-day course provides a conceptual overview and
hands-on experience using ArcView GIS 3.x software. It teaches
basic ArcView GIS functionality and enables participants
to quickly take advantage of the software's powerful display
and analysis capabilities. Attendees are introduced to the
ArcView GIS GUI and use ArcView GIS to create, edit, display,
query, and analyze geographic and tabular data and create
presentation-quality maps and charts.
